The indoor unit of the home central air conditioner is at a low temperature during cooling, especially the minimum surface temperature of the evaporator may be only 5 ℃, which is much lower than the dew point temperature of indoor air. When the indoor air contacts the evaporator, the water vapor in the air will condense into water and attach to the surface of the evaporator of the air conditioner. Therefore, a water receiving tray needs to be installed under the evaporator of the indoor unit.

However, if the water accumulates for a long time, it must be drained in time, so there is a condensate pipe. Because the water flows downward, if you do not install a lift water pump, you can only drain the water naturally. This will reduce the height of the ceiling, and users who are not originally high will feel depressed.

However, for home improvement places, indoor units are generally installed on the top, with little room for improvement. The advantages of the lift water pump can not be brought into play, and it is meaningless to have a lift pump. For example, the following figure shows that there is almost no space from the condensate pipe connection above the indoor unit to the ceiling.

In order to solve the shortcomings of high pressure suppression caused by the natural drainage of the condensate pipe, because there is a condensate lift water pump. The two characteristics of condensate lift pump are as follows:

First, it can increase the height of the ceiling to prevent space depression. The indoor storey height of a commercial house is generally about 2.7 to 2.9 meters, and the storey height is not very high. The lower the thickness of the suspended ceiling, the better. Since the condensate lift water pump is installed, gravity drainage is not used, and the pipeline has no slope, so the ceiling height can be reduced , Has greater advantages in space design. In the picture below, the direct net height is increased by more than 250mm.

Secondly, it can improve the smoothness of drainage and prevent the roof of the house from being soaked. The internal unit of the air conditioner without a water pump can only do natural drainage. The disadvantage of natural drainage is that it is easy to drain, or the drainage is not clean. The construction of the air conditioner is at the front end of the ceiling construction. If the drainage slope established in the early stage of the air conditioner cannot be guaranteed during construction If there is no drainage slope, it is possible that the condensed water will be poured back into the water tray, which will cause the ceiling to leak water and damage the original decoration of the house.

After lifting the water pump with condensate will bring some unfavorable small factors:

Selection and working principle

Type selection: Determine the amount of condensate according to the cooling capacity of the unit, so as to select the corresponding device. The selected water pump displacement must be greater than the amount of condensate produced per hour by the condensate of the air conditioning unit. At the same time, the effect of the vertical height and horizontal length of the drainage pipe on the displacement of the pump must be considered.

Principle: The liquid level switch is responsible for detecting the liquid level and sending a signal to the water pump through the control circuit. The float rises to a certain height and starts the pump to drain. When the float drops to a certain height, the pump stops running; if the system fails and the normal drainage cannot be performed, the alarm Liquid level, alarm switch starts automatically.

Replace the water pump

Turn off the power before performing the pump replacement operation. Loosen the screw on the back of the system, unplug the pump and replace with a new pump. There are three sockets on the pump plug, and there is a ground mark next to one socket. This socket should be connected to the green and yellow wire plug. The remaining two sockets are connected to the power supply, and can be connected to the other two plugs (black wire) connection. After connecting, pay attention to plug the wires into the module, add the sealing gasket, install the screws, and tighten the water pump.
